Position: Resident Service Associate Reports To: General Manager Employment Type: Casual Availability: Monday to Sunday, 7:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. Work Setting: On-site Start Date: Available to start as soon as possible Location: 13855 68th Ave, Surrey, BC V3W 2G9 Wage: $18.50/hour Requirements • Must be able to provide proof of influenza vaccination and COVID-19 vaccination records. • Work hours, days off, and assigned areas of responsibility may vary based on operational needs and the applicable Collective Agreement. Your Day-to-Day • Assist residents with activities of daily living to support their comfort, well-being, and healthy lifestyle. • Communicate with residents, families, and staff to address questions, concerns, and individual needs. • Support residents in participating in social, recreational, and wellness programs. • Observe residents’ health and overall well-being and report any changes to the appropriate staff members. • Maintain accurate records and comply with safety, privacy, and confidentiality standards. What You Bring to the Table • Grade 12 education or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, along with strong English communication skills. • WHMIS certification. • Previous experience working in a senior living or residential care facility is considered an asset. • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is considered an asset, with an understanding of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety procedures. Nice to Have • Ability to understand and empathize with the needs and circumstances of seniors. • Strong customer service mindset. • Effective teamwork and conflict-resolution skills. • Fluency in English. • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a warm and occasionally noisy environment. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
