Bilingual Manager, Finished Vehicle Logistics

Summary

Hyundai Glovis Canada is seeking a Manager, Compound & Trucking Operations to oversee finished vehicle logistics across our Canadian compound and trucking network. This role is responsible for planning and optimizing vehicle movement, monitoring inventory and transportation performance, and ensuring operational excellence from compound to dealership delivery.

Working closely with Hyundai Auto Canada, Kia Canada, compound operators, trucking providers, and internal teams, the successful candidate will lead forecasting, operational planning, customer reporting, process improvements, and business partner management while ensuring wholesale targets and customer expectations are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Lead finished vehicle logistics operations across the Canadian compound and trucking network.
• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly operational plans based on customer forecasts and wholesale targets.
• Identify operational risks, capacity constraints, and process improvement opportunities.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the operation.

Compound & Transportation Management

• Monitor vehicle inventory, allocations, releases, dwell time, compound utilization, and carrier performance.
• Oversee trucking operations, tender assignments, spot moves, and dealer delivery performance.
• Support compound and trucking partner onboarding, contract compliance, and business partner relationships.
• Resolve shipping issues, inventory discrepancies, and allocation updates in a timely manner.

Performance & Customer Management

• Prepare and present customer-facing reports covering inventory, allocations, wholesale performance, dwell, and operational KPIs.
• Lead weekly operational meetings with Hyundai Auto Canada, Kia Canada, and business partners.
• Analyze operational trends and implement corrective actions to improve service, efficiency, and network performance.
• Support year-end inventory reconciliation and maintain accurate logistics data across departments.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in finished vehicle logistics, automotive logistics, transportation, supply chain, or related operations is mandatory for this role.
• Professional proficiency in English and Korean (spoken and written) is required.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and relationship management skills.
• Experience with customer reporting, forecasting, KPI management, and operational planning.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and SAP or Power BI.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Finished Vehicle Logistics (FVL), wholesale vehicle distribution, vehicle compounds, trucking operations, or OEM automotive logistics.
